What a Level 2 Certified Operator is

Water and wastewater operators in Saskatchewan are certified in levels by the Government of Saskatchewan. Certification is earned through examination plus documented hands-on operating experience, and it has to be maintained. Level 2 covers the operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems of real size and complexity. It is not an entry-level ticket.

In practical terms: Level 2 is above the minimum certification the City of Saskatoon requires of a contractor working on private fire hydrants. When Prairie Underground works on your system, the person doing the work holds the certification, not just the company.
